Crochet - Mary's Little Lamb mittens

They're done and, all in all, I'm happy with them.
I can stand to improve through practice at carrying off the pattern, but they are a nice pair of serviceable pre-schooler mitts and I am very pleased with the lamb appliques ^_^
Done and ready for Sunshine to use.

Crochet - Mary's Little Lamb mittens

Our trip got postponed for yet another week ... which gives me time to add on ... again ^_^

A pair of mittens for Sunshine to match her skelly-lamb hat and coordinate with the scarf I made her for her birthday.

Only have one made so far, and the applique still needs to be sewn in, but I'm confident the other one will come together nicely.

The lamb applique is my very own - very first- design ^_^
Hopefully it looks like a lamb to others too.

Crochet - Mary's Little Lamb

I have not been able to put my crochet hook down since finishing DIL's gift set so I decided I'd give working with that awful (soft and squooshy with a loose twist so tough to crochet with but lovely on the skin) white yarn I picked up before Sunshine's birthday.

I ended up with a hat that has the same gothic faerie tale feel to it as DIL's set so I'm calling it 'Mary's Little Lamb'.

I edged it with the same yarn that I'd same Sunshine's birthday scarf from so they will match and I'm probably going to make a pair of simple mittens to go with to round out the set.

Then I'm going to start on an idea I have for my younger son (sunshine's daddy).
